Delivering value to our members is important to us. With no shareholders, we are committed to providing benefit for our customers and having a positive impact on the communities in which we operate. Members have a say in how the Society is run and how we shape its future.
Our purpose statement outlines our commitment to our members.
We offer attractive mortgage and savings products, supported by excellent customer service. We take pride in providing straightforward advice on mortgages and savings.
We have an active community and charity programme, supporting the communities in which our members and employees live and work.
We are proud of our financial education programme, Junior Newbury Building Society (JNBS), which works with over 10 local primary schools. Our partnership with WizeUp provides financial education to local secondary pupils.
We also believe we have a role to play in tackling climate change, and we care about protecting the earth we live on for future generations. Our Green Ambition outlines how we are working toward this.
Providing our members with excellent customer service is at the centre of all we do. We work hard to maintain the excellent service we are known for whilst responding to the evolving landscape. We gained a distinction-level ServiceMark accreditation from the Institute of Customer Service in 2022.
We also ask our members to help shape the future of the Society. Our Member Forum provides members with the opportunity to help shape our products and services, and help us make improvements to our communications.
Whilst embracing modern technology, the Society still retains good customer contact using traditional methods. Privileged to be a Newbury Building Society member.
