You might have heard of an EPC, but what are they really, and what do they mean for buyers and sellers?
Helping you to make your existing home or self-build house energy efficient.
While the UK works towards a ‘net zero’ (100% cut) in carbon emissions by 2050, we're here to help support your green choices. By undertaking energy efficient improvements to your home, you'll be protecting the environment and leading the way to a more sustainable future for generations to come.
Our GoGreen further advance mortgage is for existing borrowers who would like to take additional borrowing to fund energy efficient home improvements.
To qualify, you must use at least 50% of the further advance for one or more energy efficient home improvements such as, but not limited to: Air source heat pumps, cavity wall insulation, double/triple glazing and/or replacement windows, installation of an electric car charging point, loft insulation or installation of a wind turbine and/or solar panels. See mortgage detail below.
The GoGreen Reward is applicable on the current self-build mortgage and is designed to encourage borrowers to combat climate change by implementing sustainable, energy-efficient features into the build of their home. By doing so, the Society will refund half of the application fee paid at the start of the mortgage if an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) of A or B can be evidenced within two years of the start of the self-build project. See mortgage detail below.
