Cost of Living Support

Help and support for our members and communities

Supporting our members and the local communities in which our branches are located is central to our mutual values. As people across the country are being affected by the rising cost of living, this support is now more important than ever.

Our ‘Cost of Living Support’ will be:

  • providing financial support to charitable organisations in our branch communities, who help local people most in need of support with food, debt, travel, energy bills and their mental health.

  • providing a range of resources and information on accessing support regarding increased living costs and ideas on reducing outgoings where possible.

Coping with higher costs or remaining in control of everything can be a struggle. If you're worried about the cost-of-living crisis and want to know what support is available to you for budgeting, debt help or to ease the squeeze, we've got options here to help you.

This page has been created to sumamrise the support we are providing and links to support or resources available in the six areas below:

Helping people manage their money in uncertain times

The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) are working with financial service providers to reach people before their finances get into a crisis. They have launched new guidance on their MoneyHelper website to help people manage their money in uncertain times.
