Newbury Building Society has been re-accredited for the quality of its provision of training and development from The National Skills Academy for Financial Services.
The academy is an independent employer-led, charitable organisation which is a leading body for training and development in the financial services industry. Achievement of this recognition gives the Society an external acknowledgement of the quality of its training, measured against a European excellence model.
A representative from the Skills Academy said: “We are pleased to re-accredit Newbury Building Society. They clearly continue to treat training and development of their staff as a key part of their business strategy. Steps have been taken to create and maintain a learning culture where experience and knowledge is willingly shared, and the acquisition of technical knowledge and professional qualifications is consistently encouraged”.
Anne-Marie Goldsmith, HR Manager at the Society and thanked by the Skills Academy for her preparation, time and assistance during the re-accreditation process, added: “Our re-accreditation provides external verification that our learning and development provision remains fit for purpose, and confirms the Society’s commitment to having well-trained staff and our focus on continuous improvement for the benefit of our members”.
