Background and experience
I joined Newbury Building Society in January 2005 as HR Manager, having previously spent ten years in the travel industry and three years in the retail sector in a variety of recruitment and people development related roles. I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Newbury Building Society is a genuinely caring organistaion at every level; from its focus on its people and its members, to supporting the local communities. As a small organisation; there are lots of opportunities to get involved in various projects and really make a difference. I very much enjoy being part of the Society and working with a great team of people.
Role and responsibilities
I am responsible for leading the HR function at the Society. I ensure that the Society is fully resourced, staff are trained, developed and actively engaged to carry out the roles needed to achieve the Society's strategic and business objectives.
