We rounded off our Junior Newbury Building Society activities for 2023 at Rush Common Primary School in Abingdon.
Newbury Building Society puts excellent customer service for our members at the centre of everything we do.
We are committed to developing our people, our processes and our services to ensure our members continue to receive the right products and services that suit their needs.
We strive to motivate and engage employees by communicating in a variety of ways, including our quarterly conference call, in which employees are encouraged to pose questions to our Executive Directors, our Employee Association, a monthly newsletter and an annual survey.

We have ten branches across Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire. Our Head Office is located in Newbury, which is the base for support teams such as Customer Services, IT, Finance, HR and Marketing.
We are committed to making a difference in the communities our customers and employees live and work in. As well as the financial services, we also take an active role in community organisations and events.
There are many benefits to working for us, including generous holiday entitlement, contributory stakeholder pension scheme, volunteering days and your birthday off. The benefits specific to your role will be outlined on your Benefits, Terms and Conditions documents when you join.
Our business is about helping local people to buy their homes and save for their futures. The same goes for our employees. Our flexible approach enables our employees to combine work with family commitments, including full-time, part-time, permanent and temporary opportunities.
A good team is stronger than the sum of its individual members. We work hard to create a supportive, friendly environment: in branch, at head office and outside work in our busy social calendar, we have an active Employee Association who organise a number of events for employees throughout the year.

Read nowThe Board is committed to inclusion and diversity throughout the Society including the Board. We employ people with a diverse range of viewpoints, cognitive strengths, knowledge and experiences to ensure we stay relevant as the trusted provider of savings and mortgages in our communities. The Board recognises that in order to ensure a vibrant and inclusive culture, our talent attraction and development activities must be objective, transparent and accessible to everyone. We work in collaboration with our partners to challenge how we can continue to attract and recruit from diverse talent pools. Our aspiration is to continue to maintain and develop a respectful and innovative working environment where each person is appointed on merit, is recognised and appreciated, maintaining a culture where every individual feels accepted and motivated to perform at their best.
