Background and experience
I have over 30 years knowledge and experience specialising in mortgages during my career with Newbury Building Society. I spent my earlier years based in our Head Office, managing the Customer Services and Underwriting teams. In 2000 I took up the role of Area Manager with responsibility for half of the Society’s branch network and mortgage targets. I advised direct customers and assisted intermediaries with the more unusual and complex cases.
My current role of Senior Business Development Manager started in 2016 as we launched our Intermediary helpdesk.
Roles and responsibilities
I help the Society grow its referral mortgage business by working closely with our existing intermediary contacts and developing new relationships and opportunities for the Society. I have a regional area, in which I support our business referrers and new enquiries. I also support the Intermediary helpdesk team and my sales business development colleagues.
