Background and experience

I joined Newbury Building Society in 2007 after completing my A-levels and spending time travelling. Starting as a part-time Customer Service Adviser in our Hungerford branch, I quickly progressed into a full-time role before being promoted to Branch Manager.

Since then, I've built my career across a variety of leadership positions, including Business Support Manager, Area Manager for the Newbury area and Head of Branch Network – Newbury. Alongside my leadership responsibilities, I achieved my CeMAP qualification in 2013 and became a Registered Mortgage Adviser, supporting customers with their mortgage needs while also helping to maintain the high standards and competency of fellow advisers across the Society.

In September 2026, I returned from maternity leave to take on the role of Head of Direct Sales, leading our team of Registered Mortgage Advisers and Mortgage Retention colleagues. Having spent my entire career with Newbury Building Society, I am passionate about developing people, delivering excellent customer outcomes, and supporting the Society's continued success.

Newbury Building Society has given me the opportunity to grow, take on new challenges and develop my career over many years. I've always felt supported, valued and encouraged to keep learning, which has made my many years with the Society both rewarding and enjoyable.
