For the first time, Newbury Building Society’s annual photography competition encouraged members to share photographs of their happy place, in and around our branch towns.
From two ponies sharing a romantic meal to foraging in the woods in Thatcham, photographers entered a variety of delightful images taken in Alton, Andover, Newbury, Winchester, Hungerford, Thatcham, Wokingham, Bagnor and Kintbury.
A judging panel, made up of representatives from Newbury Building Society, reviewed all entries and managed to pick an overall winner and 11 highly commended entries based on its story, composition, originality, and suitability for inclusion in the calendar.
Congratulations to Mr Eric Starmes who has been crowned #YourNBS Your Happy Place Photographer of the Year for his photo taken in Bagnor, see below for the meaning behind his image. You can see it on the front cover of this year’s calendar.
WHEN WILL CALENDARS BE AVAILABLE?
Calendars are available in branch from week commencing 24 November and they are complimentary, however a small donation to the branch charity is very welcome. We limit calendars to two per member to ensure stocks last all.
