The work on our Newbury branch is scheduled to start after closing at 12pm on Saturday 17 September. From Tuesday 20 September, we will operate out of a temporary branch next to our Head Office Building at 90 Bartholomew Street, Newbury (RG14 5EE).
The opening hours of the temporary branch will be different to today due to planned security arrangements (normal hours will resume when we open the refurbished branch):
- Monday to Friday – 10am to 4pm
- Saturday – closed
The temporary branch will have the same security arrangements as the current branch, with the exception of the screens between customers and staff. A security guard will be on site for additional reassurance. Please note, as is the case now, there are no parking facilities at the temporary branch. Free short stay parking is available on Bartholomew Street and paid parking at the Kennet Centre Shopping Centre.
How to access support whilst Newbury branch is closed
In addition to the temporary branch, our Thatcham and Hungerford branches are within a short distance of Newbury and will have additional capacity on a Saturday to serve you. You can also withdraw money into a nominated bank account through our myaccounts online service.
