Improving the security and trust of our emails to you

We will shortly be making some changes to the email addresses we use to send you updates. These changes are being made to improve the security and deliverability of our emails to you, our members. 

What's changing?

Our current marketing email address will change from mailing@news-newbury.co.uk to nbs@news.newbury.co.uk from the week commencing 10 July 2023. We will use this new address to inform you about new products, services, community activity and general society news.

Secondly, we have created a new address, nbs@service.newbury.co.uk, which will be used to advise you of changes we think you should know. For example:

  • Changes in criteria to your mortgage or savings account(s).

  • Increases or decreases to your mortgage or savings interest rates.

  • Notice of our AGM (Annual General Meeting) – we are legally obliged to advise you of this.

  • Branch closures/updates or changes to the services you use.

Where we hold a valid email address for you, we will email you this news instead of writing to you. You will not receive marketing emails from this second new address.

Why are we making these changes?

We want to ensure the emails we send are identifiable as genuine communications. Using a more recognisable domain will help to ensure our communications are more trusted by your email provider and are less likely to get marked as spam. 

If you are ever unsure of an email’s validity, you can check the address matches the company’s website address – ours is www.newbury.co.uk. Important! To ensure you continue to receive our emails

We would be grateful if you could add our two new addresses to your contact or safe sender list in your email account -

  • nbs@news.newbury.co.uk 
  • nbs@service.newbury.co.uk

We will be emailing our members soon from our current address to reiterate these changes and explain further how you can expect us to use these two new email addresses.
