Newbury Building Society’s Basingstoke branch celebrated it’s 10th birthday at the beginning of October.
Birthday celebrations, which took place from Monday 5 October to Saturday 10 October, gifted customers who transacted at the branch during the week with chocolates and the chance to enter a random prize draw to win one of 10 Festival Place shopping centre vouchers.
Lisa Wedge, Basingstoke Branch Manager said: “We are proud to be part of the community in Basingstoke and we are delighted to be able to celebrate our 10th birthday in the best way possible despite Covid-19 restrictions. We very much look forward to serving our members and future customers for the next 10 years and beyond.”
In attendance was also Matthew Long who, at the same time, celebrated his 10th work anniversary at the Society and was present when the doors to Basingstoke branch opened 4 October 2010.
Matt commented: “I started my career at Newbury Building Society as the Branch Manager of the Basingstoke branch before moving to head office in 2014 to work on the broker side of the business. Amazingly I still have relationships with brokers I serviced 10 years ago! When I pop into the branch, I often see member members I helped over the years and we have a good catch-up. One of my fondest memories is the stories customers visiting the branch would share with us.”
