Newbury Building Society is 160 years old in 2016.
To celebrate, the Society has been digging through its archives to find photographs and memories from days gone by; and now it’s your turn! We’re looking for any customer or member memories of the Society, be it in the form of photographs, press articles, Society literature – anything!
Do you have an old photograph of your first home bought with a mortgage from the Society? Do you still own your very first passbook? Have you attended any of the Society’s charity events, or worked for the building society, with photographs to prove it? How about a funny recollection? We want to hear about it!
There are various ways to send your memories to the Society: email us, use hashtag #NBS160 on Facebook and Twitter; pop it in to your local branch (don’t forget to leave your contact details so we can safely return any items once we have a copy).
The Society looks forward to hearing about your memories and can’t wait to share them during this very special year. Our aim is to create an album online which will be shared with our members and the communities we serve.
