Background and experience
I joined Newbury Building Society in May 2022 after previously spending five years as a Mortgage and Protection Advisor. Prior to this I worked for various retailers in various management roles.
What attracted me to join Newbury Building Society was its excellent reputation within the communities it serves and the quality level of customer service it provides to its members. Excellent customer service has also been important to me, which is part of the reason I felt compelled to join. I also really enjoy working as part of a team, and everyone I have met has been so friendly and welcoming.
Role and responsibilities
I am responsible for managing both Thatcham and Hungerford branches, which gives me the opportunity to interact with different types of customers and colleagues in two different local towns. I support the branch staff both in terms of operating the branches on the front line, whilst also assisting with each team members individual development. I'm also responsible for ensuring all the society's procedures and targets are met compliantly. All this helps the society to deliver great customer service to its members and local communities.
