The opening deposit into your savings account must be received from the nominated account you wish to set up.
Once you have received your verification code, you can pay in to your account online or in any of our branches in the following ways:
If you are a new customer you can pay into your account once you have received your verification code and secure message from the myaccounts team confirming your account has been successfully opened. For existing customers, once you have received your verification code you can pay in.
Once you have received your verification code you may use the following bank details to instruct your bank to send the money to your Newbury Building Society account. Natwest is the bank we use to transfer money and the following account details are those you will need to use:

Reference number: Your 10 digit Newbury Building Society account number.
You can send a cheque payable to the account holder to our Head Office (myaccounts team, 17 Bartholomew Street, Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 5LY) or take it to any of our branches.
You can take cash into any of our branches. There are limits on accepting coin which are detailed in our savings terms and conditions. We advise that you do not send cash through the post.
