Background and experience
I joined Newbury Building Society in 2014 as HR Administrator to provide part-time maternity cover. Within a year I became full-time and permanent in the role of HR Adviser. My career background is in customer support, HR recruitment and generalist HR.
I love working with the people at Newbury Building Society. My job allows me to work with people from all over the Society and everyone is friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. Whether I am recruiting new people or helping our existing staff to progress and develop to their full potential, I get a huge sense of satisfaction from playing a part in making that happen.
Role and responsibilities
I have a varied role that includes recruitment, undertaking inductions, administering changes to policies, job roles and salaries. I also assist with performance management and work on a numberof HR projects. Recruitment is a big part of my work, ensuring that the Society is staffed with competent and capable people.
