Background and experience
I joined the Society in 1998 and have worked my way from within the branch network, having carried out many operational and sales roles. I was most recently promoted to Sales Manager in March 2016, which was rewarding after many years of underwriting experience and building a comprehensive understanding of the needs of both the customer and intermediary alike.
The Society is fair to its employees and recognises the hard work that individuals put into making the organisation a success.
As a senior manager, it's great to be given the opportunity to feed into different departments and help influence some of the key decisions made.
Role and responsibilities
I lead the sales and intermediary teams and am responsible for the new and retained business in savings and mortgages; direct through our branch network and introduced through our Intermediary Helpdesk.
