Background and experience

Darren joined the Society and the Board of Directors in August 2020. A qualified accountant, Darren has worked in financial services for over 20 years, almost half of which was as a Finance Director in the building society sector.

Role and responsibilities

Darren is responsible for the Society's finance and treasury activities, ensuring the integrity of financial and regulatory reporting and managing the Society's liquidity, funding and capital positions. Darren also holds executive responsibility IT, Business Change, and the Premises and Facilities departments. 

Darren chairs the Executive-led Assets & Liabilities Committee. He is a member of the Executive and the Executive-led Credit, Health & Safety and Sales, Marketing & Product Committees.
