If you simply want to know how much you have got left to pay off your mortgage, the best way is to request a balance outstanding confirmation.

This will give you an idea about how much you have left to pay and if there are any fees that you may need to pay. Our Mortgage Support Team can help you with that (see contact details below).

At the end of your mortgage term:

  1. We will write to you before your mortgage is due to be repaid explaining when and how to redeem (pay off) your mortgage.

  2. You can also request a Redemption Statement (a statement detailing the amount to pay off your mortgage in full) by emailing the Mortgage Support Team or calling  01635 555700. If you are selling or remortgaging and have a solicitor acting for you, your solicitor will reach out to us to request the figure needed to repay your mortgage.

  3. Your balance will change from month to month, so if you are considering paying off (redeeming) all or part of your mortgage, please let us know the date you wish to do this (the redemption date) so we can provide you with an accurate redemption statement figure.

  4. If you are paying off your mortgage early, the Redemption Statement will show if there is an early repayment charge (ERC) due or a mortgage exit administration fee (MEAF).

  5. Please note that we charge £25 per Redemption Statement if more than one is issued in any year.

  6. Once the mortgage is repaid, we will confirm to you when the account is closed. If we have your property deeds, we will return these to you. We will also contact HM Land Registry to remove our charge on your property.
