Intermediary Sales Adviser

Location Head Office with option for hybrid working once training is complete.
Hours  Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm (35 hours per week)
Salary*

Starting: £28,432.26

Target: £31,591.41

90-minute competency-based interview held in Newbury Head Office.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly, fast‑paced Intermediary Sales team, working on our mortgage broker helpdesk and playing a key role in achieving our sales targets.

As an Intermediary Sales Adviser, you will support mortgage intermediaries with inbound enquiries and Agreements in Principle (AIPs), helping to deliver a great broker experience while contributing to team performance. From time to time, there will also be the opportunity to support our wider Sales teams, helping us flex capacity and share expertise across the business.

You will be a key point of contact for our broker network, providing sales support, operational assistance and insight across our systems, products and lending criteria all from the heart of our intermediary helpdesk.

Broker assistance 

  • Be a first point of contact for our intermediaries via calls, email and live chat

  • Help brokers move enquiries and AIPs forward with confidence

  • Build broker relationships and spot new opportunities

  • Share market insight and play your part in hitting team targets

Learning and decision making

  • Deliver a great broker experience within our Conduct culture and FCA standards

  • Own the cases you agree, manage risk well and know when to escalate

  • Work closely with underwriting and senior colleagues on complex cases

Keep the engine running

  • Keep products, criteria and sourcing systems accurate and current

  • Manage broker registrations and online system queries

  • Log all enquiries correctly on the Intermediary Enquiries Spreadsheet

  • Protect customer data, privacy and information security

Essential skills and experience

  • Proven experience of working with internal and/or external, customers to ensure the highest quality service experience

  • Evidence of excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Competent in the use of Microsoft packages - Word, Excel, Outlook and Office 365

Desirable skills and experience

  • CeMAP qualification 

  • Competent and legal driver

  • Some experience of working within a sales environment 

  • General understanding of the Financial Services industry 

  • Some knowledge and experience of underwriting
