Enter our Cake-tastic Calendar Competition!

This year, we’re turning 170 and we need your help to make the party extra special!

We’re calling brilliant bakers and dazzling designers aged between 5 and 14 to draw the most show-stopping Newbury Building Society birthday cake they can dream up.

Whether you imagine a cake dusted with glitter to look like a shiny pound coin, stacked sky-high with 170 candles, or shaped just like our castle logo, whip up your wildest ideas and dream big. If you can draw it, we want to see it!

The top 12 designs will star in our 2027 calendar, with the 11 runners-up winning:

• A £25 Hobbycraft voucher
• A special apron – perfect for future makes, bakes, and creative projects

The overall winner will receive a £50 Hobbycraft voucher, as well as see their design bought to life by a local baker. Yep, we’ll get your cake idea baked for real – delicious!

How to enter

It’s easy! You can either:

1. Pop into your nearest branch to pick up an entry form. 
2. Download an entry form, from the right hand side of this page.
3. Once your masterpiece is complete, you can either email it to us (please email a scanned copy of both the front and back of the entry form), pop it into branch or post it to our head office at the address below.

Please make sure a responsible adult reads and agrees to the competition terms and conditions before you send your entry in.
