I originally joined Newbury Building Society in 1983 as a clerk in the mortgage team. I have had various roles within the Society since then, mostly mortgage related.
In the 2000's I enhanced my mortgage experience by spending a few years as a self-employed Mortgage Adviser. I re-joined the Society in 2007 and have remained in mortgage roles since.
I enjoy working at Newbury Building Society because of the people. We have a great team; whose ambition is to serve our customers as best as we can. My role also means that I get involved in a wide range of mortgage areas, which means no two days are the same. It's also nice to work for a successful, local organisation.
I manage our mortgage product portfolio and ensure that our mortgage offering is relevant to the markets we serve and to our members. I also manage many business relationships with like-minded organisations, whose customers we help. I also arrange mortgages for customers who come to us directly.
