Background and experience
I have been with Newbury Building Society for fifteen years. I assisted with the launch of the dedicated Intermediary Unit in 2016. Prior to this I was an Account Manager within the Socety's branch network. Previously I worked with Halifax for several years as a Branch Manager and have a wide and varied knowledge within the financial industry. In September 2025 I was promoted to Intermediary Sales Manager.
Since leaving my previous company who specialised in Lending, I have noticed how flexible and willing the society is to help people get on the property ladder. It not just a one size fits all approach. I am able to help influence how the company progresses, something I could never have done with my previous company. The society looks after their members of staff with excellent training, progression and welfare. It is like working with your family every day.
Role and responsibilites
My role is to lead the Society's team of Business Development Managers, ensuring a successful development of mortgage introduced business. All whilst contributing to the Intermediary sales strategy aligning to the corporate plan.
Alongside this, I also maintain and manage relationships with our key brokers and clubs/networks.
