I joined Newbury Building Society in 2012, since then I have undertaken various roles within the Society, all within mortgages. I originally started with Direct Mortgage Sales, moving to Intermediary Sales when the team was set up in 2016, before becoming Head of Direct Sales in 2025. I started my current role as Head of Underwriting in September 2026.
I enjoy working at the Society because it allows me the opportunity to have a meaningful impact. Every role I've held has brough unique challenges, which I enjoy. The Society also provides strong support for my development, which has been instrumental in my career progression.
As Head of Underwriting, I have an overall responsibility for lending criteria and ensuring the Society's mortgage lending remains high quality.
