Background and experience
I joined Newbury Building Society in May 2022, following over 14 years at Nationwide Building Society where I held a variety of product and marketing roles. During that time, I worked across both unsecured and secured lending, led product development initiatives, and spent several years focused on member engagement and communications.
It’s a privilege to work alongside such dedicated teams who care deeply about our members and communities.
Role and responsibilities
As Chief Operating Officer, I’m lucky to work with some brilliant teams across sales, product and marketing, branches, underwriting and operations. Together, we’re involved in everything from managing mortgage and savings performance, building strong relationships with customers and brokers, and shaping our product range, to keeping members informed, supporting our communities, and making sure our branches and servicing teams run smoothly day to day.
I also work closely with colleagues across the Society to ensure our operations are efficient, well-managed, and ready to adapt to change, whether that’s responding to member needs, regulatory requirements, or new technology. We’ve got 10 branches across Berkshire, Hampshire, and Oxfordshire, and I try to spend as much time as I can with our teams on the ground, they’re the heart of what we do. I’m passionate about making sure our services are simple, accessible, and built around our members, while keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
