Background and experience
I joined Newbury Building Society in January 2018 having previously worked as the Facilities Manager at Camp Hopson Department Store for 18 years. I am a member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) and BIFM (British Institute of Facilities Management).
Having only worked for the Society for a short period of time, I have been made to feel very welcome by everyone. I really enjoy supporting the business “behind the scenes” and assisting the Society to meet its core business objectives.
Role and responsibilities
My role is to maintain the fabric of the Society’s premises, liaising with landlords, local authorities, contractors and internal staff. I also ensure the Society remains compliant from both a regulatory and health & safety perspective.
