Wokingham branch announce new partnership with First Days Children’s Charity

Say a big hello and welcome to our new Wokingham charity partner, First Day's Children's Charity! 

The Society has a proud history of supporting local charities and community groups. After a fantastic long-term partnership with Sue Ryder (registered charity no. 2751549), the Wokingham team felt the time was right to find a new charity to work with. We put the question to our members and colleagues, and after a vote where over 600 people had their say, First Days was chosen.

First Days Children’s Charity (registered charity no. 1157855) support families in Wokingham, providing children the essential items they need to be safe, confident, and have fun. Their services include providing low-cost school uniform, as well as laptops, learning equipment, and baby essentials. Their Family Support Team also collaborate with parents to make positive change through compassionate coaching and peer support.

Justine Ransom, Wokingham Branch Manager, commented: “I am so excited to begin our new partnership with First Days, an amazing charity just a stone’s throw from our branch. We really admire the work they do with families throughout Wokingham, and the team and I can’t wait to get stuck in to supporting them through fundraising, volunteering, and more. Thank you to everyone who voted to select a new charity partner – with over six hundred votes cast, it’s clearly something that matters deeply to our members.”
