Newbury Building Society Cake-tastic Calendar Competition terms and conditions
The competition will open at 9.00am on Monday 30 March 2026 and will close at 4.30pm Tuesday 1 September 2026.
The competition is open to children aged between 5 and 14.
All entrants must have permission from a parent or guardian in order to enter.
Newbury Building Society's panel of judges will select one winner and 11 runners-up from the entries received in accordance with these terms and conditions. The panel's decision is final.
The 11 runners-up will receive a £25 Hobbycraft voucher and apron. The overall winner will receive a £50 Hobbycraft voucher, apron, and have their design made into a real cake.
The 12 chosen designs will feature in Newbury Building Society's 2027 calendar, alongside the child's first name and age.
Entries to the competition will be accepted in all Newbury Building Society branches using one of the provided paper entry forms, or via the online form on Newbury Building Society’s website.
Entries uploaded via the form on Newbury Building Society’s website must be in the following format: PDF or high-quality image, such as a PNG or JPEG. The design must be no bigger than A4.
Only one entry per person is accepted.
Joint submissions will not be accepted.
Entries on behalf of another person are not accepted.
No responsibility will be taken for entries that are misdirected, incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical reason.
The winner and runners-up will be notified by the email address they submit on the form by Friday 11 September.
Prizes must be collected from your nearest branch or head office.
The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
Newbury Building Society accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the prize draw or accepting the prize.
Newbury Building Society retains the right to substitute the prize with another prize of similar value in the event the original prize offered is unavailable.

By entering the prize draw, you agree to the collection, retention, usage and distribution of your personal information to process and contact you about your entry and the competition. We will not pass any information onto a third party.
The parent/guardian of entrants into the competition shall be deemed to have read and accepted the terms and conditions.
