Background and experience
Nigel joined Newbury Building Society in 2014 having previously performed a variety of senior management roles in the life insurance sector. He has spent most of his career working for mutual organisations.
I enjoy working for the Society because of the varied nature of my role. The culture here is a friendly and supportive one. There is also a strong focus on looking after the Society’s members.
Role and responsibilities
Nigel is responsible for the Society’s compliance assurance activities which includes responsibility for ensuring that the Society complies with its regulatory requirements, especially the requirement to treat members fairly. He is also responsible for financial crime prevention, data protection and organising the Society’s Annual General Meeting.
