Newbury Building Society has announced the appointments of Daryle Churcher as Business Change Manager and Emma Simms as Marketing and Communications Manager.
Daryle Churcher (left) boasts 23 years-experience in the financial services sector. As Customer Service Improvement and Performance Manager at one of the big five banks, Daryle was responsible for the achievement of customer performance goals across the UK Retail branch network and Business Banking. In her new position at the Society, she will bring that experience to the management of tactical projects and strategic change management.
Daryle said: “I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to help influence the Society’s future, by leading the project teams which have been set up to deliver change. Local Building Societies are so important to their communities, and the culture here - with its emphasis on what is best for our members - is a refreshing contrast from the PLC world.”
Emma Simms (right) has previous experience in the leisure and hospitality sector and in the last seven years she has been responsible for marketing and communications at two separate law firms. She was responsible for the creation and delivery of the rebranding necessitated by the merger of two regional law firms before heading up the marketing communications team of the new larger firm. In her role as Marketing and Communications Manager at the Society, Emma will be responsible for developing the Society’s Marketing Strategy whilst also managing the Society’s marketing function. One of her early goals is to increase the Society’s presence and capability in social media, an area in which she excels.
Emma said: “Joining such a successful member owned business as Newbury Building Society and having the opportunity to lead its marketing team is the perfect role for me. The Society is so well respected and I am determined in my new role to help more people learn and benefit from what we do.”
