Newbury Building Society has teamed up with AHPphotography to launch a photography competition that aims to champion Central Southern England’s awe-inspiring beauty spots.
The theme is ‘Home is where the heart is’, and although open to your personal interpretation, the Society is looking for beautiful photographs of Central Southern England, in particular those taken in and around its ten branch towns. These are: Abingdon, Alton, Andover, Basingstoke, Didcot, Hungerford, Newbury, Thatcham, Winchester and Wokingham.
A judging panel made up from representatives of Newbury Building Society and AHPphotography will review all entries and select the 20 best based on the following criteria: composition, originality, public appeal and suitability for inclusion in a calendar. Those twenty entries will then make it through to stage two, where people will be asked to vote for their favourite via social media and on the Society’s website, newbury.co.uk.
The top fifteen selected by the public vote will appear in the Newbury Building Society Calendar for 2016. The judges will also choose their favourite entry to be the overall winner of the competition. The winning photographer will receive a portrait package and photography training, courtesy of AHPphotography.
Each entrant can enter up to three photos in total. The closing date for entries is Sunday 6 September 2015.
