Newbury Building Society teams up with Everfi to offer sustainability course to local schools

Newbury Building Society have partnered with education company, EVERFI, to bring a free, online sustainability course called Sustainability Foundations to secondary schools in Hungerford, Newbury and Thatcham.

What is EVERFI?

Everfi is an education company which aims to bring real-world skills to the classroom, empowering teachers to deliver critical skills education on topics such as sustainability, financial education, and digital wellness.

What is Sustainability Foundations?

Sustainability Foundations helps secondary school students learn about how we can create a more sustainable future. Linked to biology, chemistry, and geography curricula for 11 to 14 year olds, it explores how we rely on the earth’s interconnected systems, and ways that students can harness creativity to build a greener future.

The course can be delivered online on the Everfi platform, or face-to-face in the classroom, depending on the needs of the school and pupils. It is made up of a mix of case studies, reflection, group work, and discussion.
