Cold Ash Football Club unveils new look ahead of Madejski stadium debut, thanks to Newbury Building Society

As a continuation to its commitment to providing young talent with the opportunity to participate in community events, Newbury Building Society is delighted to be a new sponsor for Cold Ash Football Club under 10’s squad.

For the new season, which kicked off last month, the Society’s sponsorship has helped the team to purchase a new strip for the players – tops, shorts and socks – as well as drill tops for coaches. The kit will proudly showcase the club’s emblem alongside Newbury Building Society’s logo on a royal blue jersey – the Society’s traditional colour.

Nigel Emerson, Vice-Chairman of Cold Ash Football Club said: “We are delighted that Newbury Building Society has sponsored the new kit for this years’ under 10’s football season. The Society kindly sponsored our side three years ago when the boys were starting out as six year olds, but they have naturally grown since and required a new strip for the upcoming season. For us, it seemed like a no-brainer to renew our partnership with the Society as the organisation has a strong community-focused attitude and presence in the local area. The club is delighted with the new kit and the player’s look forward to showing it off in front of a crowd of 20,000 at Madejski stadium at the end of the month.”

The team will showcase their new kit during a half-time penalty shoot-out in front of 20,000 Reading FC fans, as the Championship side play Middlesbrough on Saturday 28th October 2017.

Emma Simms, Marketing and Communications Manager at Newbury Building Society said: “Our community support work is extremely important to the Society. We’re passionate about helping projects to be the best they can be and truly inspire people to get involved. Cold Ash Football Club is one such organisation, and we’re proud to see the boy’s wearing our trademark on their shirts. We wish the team luck with the season and hope they thoroughly enjoy their time at Madejski stadium next month.”

With an emphasis on ‘development whilst having fun’, Cold Ash FC recently won the league award for fair play (based on their approach towards players, opposing players and the spirit in which match day games are played by the whole team – squad, parents and coaching staff alike) in both the under 10’s age group and as a club for the last two seasons.

Cold Ash Football Club plays regular matches across the whole of West Berkshire, predominantly in Newbury/Thatcham, and in the Reading West league.
