Newbury Building Society is delighted to announce that it has sponsored a new football strip for Thatcham Town FC Youth Team.
The team play in the South Division of the Allied Counties Youth Football League, an extremely competitive league offering midweek floodlit matches for players aged 16 to 18. The Youth team is fully integrated into the main football club, offering a route through to the first team if players are deemed ready. Home fixtures are played on Wednesday nights at Waterside Park and the Club actively encourages young people of all abilities within the community to join them.
Their manager, Neil Rourke, said: “It’s very exciting that Newbury Building Society has chosen its local non-league football club Thatcham Town FC and in particular the Youth Side for its shirt sponsorship. We are all about football development and it’s great that such a well-respected local firm has recognised this commitment and chosen to support the side this season.”
Debbie Brockett, from the Society’s Thatcham branch, agrees: “It’s important that the Society supports its local communities. Thatcham FC Youth Team not only recognises, encourages and nurtures talent, but it promotes invaluable things like effort, skill-building and team participation.”
The team are always on the lookout for new talent, so if any player wishes to be considered for a trial, please register first by contacting Neil Rourke, Youth Team Manager, on 07818040052.
