Abingdon put to the test in aid of Helen & Douglas House

Newbury Building Society’s Abingdon branch raised £250 for their charity partner, Helen & Douglas House, by holding a fundraising quiz night.

The Society has since fund-matched the amount, giving a new total of £500.

Hosted at the Boundary House in Abingdon, 24 people attended the evening and enjoyed general knowledge questions, ‘guess the movie from the quote’ round, ‘can you name the famous face’, among others.

The winning team, named HELP!, won a meal for four at the Boundary House.

Gemma Ellis, Customer Service Adviser at Newbury Building Society’s Abingdon branch said: “Thank you so much to everyone who attended, it was a great successful night, which I really enjoyed being a part of. I hope Helen & Douglas House can put the proceeds towards something fun for the children.”

Helen & Douglas House provides hospice care for babies and children in Oxfordshire and surrounding counties.
