Basingstoke branch win gold for customer service

Newbury Building Society’s Basingstoke branch was delighted to scoop up the award for Outstanding Customer Experience at this year’s Festival Place Retailer Gold Awards.  

The award, which was based on receiving 100% from three mystery shoppers in a row, saw the Society beat off competition from Lloyds Bank (who finished runner-up) and Schuh.  

In total, more than 4,500 customers voted for their favourite retailers. 

Lisa Wedge, Branch Manager at Newbury Building Society’s Basingstoke branch said: “I am so proud that Basingstoke Branch won the award.  The whole team continuously work hard to provide the customers with a positive, friendly experience so it shouldn’t really have been such a big surprise to us all to win.  We are so pleased to receive the award and recognition it makes all our hard work feel worthwhile.”
