The charity applied for financial support for its ‘Loud and Clear’ speech therapy sessions and Tai-Chi exercise classes.
We are delighted to announce the shortlist of images for this year’s #YourNBS photography competition.
With over 75 entries, this year’s intake of snaps was bigger and better than ever before with a variety of different locations, styles, perspectives and motifs being entered from across the Society’s branch network.
From adorable family pets, to historic landmarks and stunning landscapes, we received a record-breaking number of entries in which the judging panel had the difficult job of whittling the candidates down to the final 24. You can view the full gallery on our voting page.
Now have your say!
The shortlisted images will now go head-to-head in a public vote which will take place via social media and the Society’s website. The 12 images which receive the most votes will be featured in our 2019 calendar with the judging panel crowning one as this year’s 'NBS photograph of the year' which will feature on the calendar’s front cover.
There are three ways in which you can vote:
- Vote via our online form
- Visit our Facebook page and ‘like’ your favourite image
- Visit our Twitter page, @NewburyBS, and ‘favourite’ your winning snap
The 12 images with the highest votes will feature in the Society’s upcoming calendar – which will be available in branches from early November. Calendars are free although a small donation to the branch charity is welcomed. There will also a maximum of two per customer to ensure stocks last for all.
The online vote closes midnight, 30 September 2018.
Thank you to all our amateur snappers who entered this year’s competition! We thoroughly enjoyed looking at each photograph and reading the reasons why places in your home town make you happy.
