Local residents and members of Newbury Building Society’s Winchester branch gathered for tea and cake last week, as the branch celebrated its 5th birthday in style!
The birthday bash, which took place on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th April, presented the branch the opportunity to not only celebrate with specially designed cupcakes and branded thermal travel mugs, but also socialise with many of their loyal members who have been with them from the beginning. Our very own Barry Bear even made a surprise appearance!
Lisa Wedge, Office Manager of the Winchester branch said: “We are proud to be at the heart of the community in Winchester and we were delighted to be able to celebrate our 5th birthday with local residents and members. Newbury Building Society has always believed in trusted, face-to-face service, allowing us to get to know our members and develop a relationship with them - to celebrate together was an absolute joy. We would like to thank everybody who popped in during the celebrations and we look forward to another successful 5 years serving the community.”
