Newbury Building Society is delighted to welcome Zoë Shaw to its Non-Executive Board of Directors – a role which commenced at the beginning of September 2017.
Joining the current team of six, Zoë brings with her more than 30 years’ experience in Investment Banking and Fund Management, and has held senior management positions in four FCA regulated entities.
Her career history includes being previously appointed as General Manager at a German bank, CEO of a credit fund and Head of Fixed Income at a leading UK pension fund manager. She also has extensive experience of the UK property market and is a proud graduate of Cambridge University.
Zoë said: “I am delighted to be joining the Board of Newbury Building Society and look forward to helping the Society develop its business strategy and performance. Newbury Building Society offers another option for mortgages and savings to the residents of our branch towns and their surrounding communities, something which I consider very important and which I will do my best to encourage and perpetuate.”
On joining the Board, Zoë has become a member of the Risk Committee to help further financial risk management objectives and policies.
