Newbury Building Society has donated £1,250 to SeeAbility to purchase much-needed specialist physio equipment.
2017 was a busy year for all of Newbury Building Society’s branches who have been fundraising tirelessly for their nominated charities – as voted for by you at the beginning of 2017.
Branch and head office staff have undertaken a variety of fundraising events and challenges to raise as much money as possible to help make a difference to the people living in the local community.
Fundraising events have ranged from volunteering days at centres and retail outlets, physically activities such as a virtual-cycle ride challenge, spring clean clothing sort-out, sponsored walks and runs, golf and sporting days, hamper prize draws, cake sales and our annual Newbury Building Society calendar.
Final totals for the 2017 year have now been calculated, and include all contributions to the Charity Account and all other donations made:
Andover: £832.20 for Andover Mind
Alton and Basingstoke: £1,505.51 for St Michael’s Hospice
Abingdon and Didcot: £2,250 for Helen and Douglas House
