TMA welcomes Newbury Building Society to its expanding lender panel

TMA Club has today announced the addition of Newbury Building Society to its lender panel.

Newbury offers one of the most diverse ranges of products on the Club’s panel, underwriting all cases on an individual basis with no credit scoring necessary.

Members of the Club will have immediate access to Newbury’s wide range of solutions including products for first-time buyers, those looking to remortgage and those in Shared Ownership properties. TMA’s advisers will also have access to solutions for those that are self-employed and those wishing to self-build properties, as well as Buy-to-Let and Holiday-Let customers. Newbury is known for its dedicated intermediary team, with a helpdesk service on-hand to support advisers and lenders with anything from general application questions to obtaining further certification.

Key benefits for TMA members include:

  • Loans for unusual or complex borrowing requirements
  • Up to 90% LTV on New-Build properties and flats
  • Up to 95% LTV on Shared Ownership properties
  • Consideration of unusual properties, Self-Builds and modern methods of construction
  • Lending to those in retirement, lending to limited companies and lending to expatriates purchasing investment property

Rob McCoy, Senior Product & Business Manager at TMA, commented: “Welcoming Newbury to our lender panel reinforces our ongoing commitment to cater for non-standard borrowers. With ‘specialist’ lending actually becoming the new norm, it is our aim to equip advisers with a range of solutions to cater for this increasing pool of customers so they too can attain their homeownership goals. A common-sense approach to lending is imperative in today’s socioeconomic landscape and we will continue to expand our lender panel to ensure our members can deliver the best possible outcome for every single one of their clients.”

Karen Smith, Sales Manager at Newbury Building Society, added: “Coupling TMA’s broker-centric approach with our own, we are delighted to be partnering with the Club to expand and enhance our customer outreach, especially as more consumers find that mainstream lending is at arm’s length. Together, we will help more advisers ensure that the needs of those who don’t fit the vanilla mould of traditional lending are met, solidifying TMA as the club of choice for intermediaries.”
