Mollie, Digital Marketing Assistant
"I’m so pleased to have completed my marketing apprenticeship! It was definitely a journey, but one that I wouldn’t change as it was a fantastic introduction into the marketing industry. I was able to apply my course to my daily job roles, from creating engaging content for different audiences, to managing risks and the importance of advertising appropriately in a business environment.
This apprenticeship has also allowed me to take a step in my career as I have recently been promoted. My course has enabled me to gain confidence in my job role, solidify and learn new skills and gain practical experience whilst being hands-on in my role."
Ryan, Customer Support Assistant - Savings
“Newbury has been my only full-time job after leaving school. I didn’t want to go to university and instead gain some work experience. My previous part time jobs had all been customer facing and I have always been interested in finance and banking. I’ve been a member of Newbury Building Society since I was a child so an opportunity to work in a branch for them was perfect for me.
With the help of Newbury Building Society and West Berkshire Training Consortium, I was able to complete my apprenticeship and obtain a permanent position to help start my career with the Society, now 5 years on.”
Liv, Risk and Compliance Assistant
"I joined NBS after my GCSEs and was keen to continue my learning within the workplace environment - an apprenticeship was a great opportunity for me. Completing my Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration taught me a lot about myself and the business.
My qualification has positively impacted my current and future career. I incorporated my work tasks within my college portfolio, which allowed me to learn more about NBS and take on new challenges. This enabled me to gain invaluable skills and to develop personally and professionally.
I have had so much support from my colleagues in Risk and Compliance which I am grateful for. I am looking forward to carrying on working NBS with the skills I have developed over the last 2 years."
