myaccounts FAQ - Paying money in

The opening deposit into your savings account must be received from the nominated account you wish to set up. 

Once you have received your verification code, you can pay in to your account online or in any of our branches in the following ways:

Bank transfer

Once you have received your verification code you may use the following bank details to instruct your bank to send the money to your Newbury Building Society account:

Bank name: Natwest

Sort code: 62-28-74

Account number: 00000000 (this is a collection account)

Reference number: Your 10 digit Newbury Building Society account number.

Cheque

You can send a cheque to our Head Office (myaccounts team, 17 Bartholomew Street, Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 5LY) or take it to any of our branches.

Cash

You can take cash into any of our branches. There are limits on accepting coin which are detailed in our savings terms and conditions. We advise that you do not send cash through the post.
