Background and experience
I have been with Newbury Building Society for eight years. I assisted with the launch of the dedicated Intermediary Unit in 2016. Prior to this I was an Account Manager within the Socety's branch network. Previously I worked with Halifax for several years as a branch manager and have a wide and varied knowledge within the financial industry.
Since leaving my previous company who specialised in Lending, I have noticed how flexible and willing the society is to help people get on the property ladder. It not just a one size fits all approach. I am able to help influence how the company progresses, something I could never have done with my previous company. The society looks after their members of staff with excellent training, progression and welfare. It is like working with your family every day.
My role
I am a Senior Regional Business Development Manager for London and the South East. I have a field role and also support the Intermediary Helpdesk team in providing our business introducer clients with an efficient and helpful service. I also manage and build strong relationships with a network of exisiting introducer relationships and proactively help introduce new Intermediaries to Newbury Building Society to increase referred mortgage business to the Society.
